Permanent Make-up FAQ
Does permanent make up hurt?
Some people have more sensitive skin than others, the sensation is more like scratching. However, a topical anaesthetic can be used prior to and during all procedures, and plenty of time for the numbing agents to take effect.
How does permanent makeup work?
Various types of needles are used depending on the procedure to release colour into a hole in your skin. Although pigment is applied to the top layer of skin only, the procedure may still sting -- just like it does when you get a tattoo. It takes about three weeks for the pigment to fade to the colour you selected.
What is Micropigmentation?
Micropigmentation, commonly known as permanent cosmetics, is the process of inserting coloured pigments just beneath the skin’s surface. The insertion of colour reaches only the papillary layer of the dermis. At Beauté Naturelle, the finest medical-grade pigments are used. Only sterile, single-use, disposable needles are used to ensure no contamination.
How long do I allow for a PMU procedure?
A client should allow 3 hours for each procedure, although some procedures do not take that long. Enough time needs to be allowed for topical numbing agents to take effect, choosing the perfect colour, and perfect shape to create a perfectly customized process for every client. The actual application of the permanent makeup may take up to an hour depending on the case and complexity.
Will I be able to choose the shape and colour I want?
Yes, if you know exactly how you want the permanent makeup procedure done, you should come with her make up done like that to the consultation. Also, feel free to bring images of permanent makeup that you love!
Colour choices that complimented the natural skin are discussed, and the shape is drawn and approved by the client before the beginning of any permanent application.
How long does permanent make up last?
Gradual fading can be expected for all micro-pigmentation procedures. This varies among people and is dependent on the specific shade used. Most colours last three to five years, although some may not fade and last for many years.
Do I need to do a top-up?
Although always advised as most permanent makeup procedures take at least ten days to heal and to see the final result.
What's the difference between nano-blading and micro-blading?
Nanoblading is microblading but with superfine, flexible needles. Microblading and nano-blading both offer fine hair strokes that look natural and true to life, but nano-blading provides further precision and accuracy because it uses tiny needles, compacted together into an ultra-fine blade
